The Members of the Biscuit Rollers
Kelly's earliest musical influence was the singing he heard at church.  Raised in Little Rock, Arkansas and nurtured on the country music of the early and mid-70's (Don Williams, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, etc.) Kelly discovered the blues in a roundabout way: the Grateful Dead.  Through their blend of all styles of American music, he opened his mind beyond what he heard on the radio to Jazz, Folk, early Rock and Roll, but especially the Blues.  "The blues just spoke to me.  John Lee Hooker, Elmore James, Howlin' Wolf and especially Muddy Waters made me feel like the only music that mattered was what they were singing."  A veteran of too many bar bands, the Biscuit Rollers is Kelly's first all blues band, and he hopes his last!  "I love Po' Boy and Hambone (Scott).  They seem to play what I'm feeling, and getting to listen to them at our gigs makes me feel like I'm finally doing what I was put here to do: front the Biscuit Rollers!  What a joy, to make music with my boys!" - Kelly
Scott is our newest member, but not a new member of the Blues Family!!!

Raised outside of Marshall, Virginia, Scott was influenced by anything that was in listening distance. "I give a lot of credit to my Mom, she listens to a wide variety of music." Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz, R&B, Rock, she loves it all. Also, give huge props to my Uncle Dewey. He showed me my first chords on guitar.

Scotty got his first taste of real Blues from Robert Johnson, "Come on in my kitchen"was hypnotic, from that point on, I was hooked. My style roots mainly in Piedmont Style Blues, I love the music of Sonny Terry, Brownie McGhee, Neal Pattman, Peg Leg Sam, Cephas & Wiggins, Warner Williams & Jay Summerour. Lets just say anything good!!!
